Free Checking
Austin Telco Federal Credit Union offers a Free Checking account with several advantages beyond other financial institutions' checking accounts including eNewsletters, Overdraft Protection, Bill Pay and eStatements. These accounts are free or monthly service charges or minimum balance requirements.
Free Business Checking
Your business and its needs are unique. Austin Telco Federal Credit Union’s Business Accounts are designed to provide members with the basic financial services that are so important to a successful business. Free Second Chance Checking
Would you like a second chance to make a first impression on your checking account history? That’s what Austin Telco Federal Credit Union’s Second Chance Checking Account can do for you. If you have a previous history with ChexSystems or TeleCheck, and have had trouble acquiring a checking account at other financial institutions, we will open you a free checking account.Â
Certificates
Share Certificates, also known as Certificates of Deposit, are available with a wide range of terms to fit your individual needs. Based on the term, dividends can be transferred to your share savings account, your checking account, compounded into the certificate or paid directly to you. Austin Telco Federal Credit Union's certificates offer rates that are among the most competitive in today's market.Â
IRAs
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) let you augment your pension and Social Security income while potentially enjoying a break on your taxes. You can reduce your current tax bill by deferring income tax on the dividends the account earns until you begin withdrawals, usually after retirement when your tax rate may be lower. Part or all of the money you deposit may be tax-deductible, depending on the IRA type, your overall income and pension plan participation status.
Money Market
Money Market is our high yield investment account. Our money market account gives you the flexibility of using funds in the account without penalty and allows you to add to the account at any time.
Regular Savings
Whether you're saving for the down payment on a new home or your children's education, Austin Telco Federal Credit Union has a savings plan to meet your needs. Share Savings is ATFCU's basic savings account.
Transfer Limitations
For all savings and Money Market accounts, no more than six pre-authorized, automatic, telephone or Internet transfers and withdrawals may be made from each account to another account of yours or to a third party in any month. No more than three of these six may be made by check, draft or access card to a third party. If you exceed these limitations, your account may be subject to a fee or be closed.
V.I.M. Accounts
Austin Telco Federal Credit Union has a V.I.M.(Very Important Member) Club exclusively for members 60 years of age and older. As a V.I.M. member, you receive special benefits such as Free custom checks, American Express Traveler's Cheques and money orders.Â
