Austin Telco FCU members can use their Austin Telco credit and debit cards with Apple Pay®! Apple Pay is an easy, secure, and private way to make purchases. Use it to pay in stores without swiping your cards and in apps without entering your payment contact information. To pay, just hold your iPhone® 6 or iPhone 6 Plus near a participating merchant's contactless reader. A vibration and beep let you know your payment has been accepted. You can also use Apple Pay on your phone, iPad Air 2, and iPad Mini 3 with shopping apps such as those for Target®, Panera Bread®, Petco®, and Uber®.


Image shows you the setup process to Apple Pay. Open Passbook. If you are using Passbook on your iOS device for the first time, select "Set up Apple Pay". If you already use Passbook on your iOS device, swipe down and tap the plus sign in the upper right corner. Enter your Apple ID password if asked to. Select "Use Card on File with iTunes" or "Use a Different Credit or Debit Card.". If using a different card, or setting up a new card, use your iSight camera to enter the card information or type it in manually.

How to Use Apple Pay in Participating Stores:

  1. Look for the Pay Wave® or Apple Pay symbol at checkout and hold your phone near the contactless reader.
  2. Place your finger on the Touch ID™. Or, you may need to enter a passcode and sign a receipt.
  3. Keep your phone by the reader until it vibrates and beeps, indicating your payment was accepted.

What is Apple Pay?
Apple Pay allows you to pay for your purchases with your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus by holding your phone near a contactless reader. You can also use your iPhone, iPad Air, and iPad Mini 3 to pay within certain apps.

You can use Austin Telco Visa Credit and Debit cards.
How do I change my default card to my Austin Telco card?

The credit or debit card associated with your iTunes® account or the first card you add to Passbook® is your default card. To change your default card:


  1. Go to Settings > Passbook & Apple Pay.
  2. Tap Default Card.
  3. Choose a new card.
Are my payments safe with Apple Pay?
Yes. When you use Apple Pay, your Austin Telco card number isn't stored on your phone or given to the merchant. A unique digital code is created specifically for that device.
How are my privacy and personal information protected?
Since Apple Pay doesn't store your debit or credit card number on the device, you never reveal your name, card number, or security code to merchants.
Am I able to opt out of Apple Pay at any time?
Adding your debit  or credit card to Apple Pay is your choice; you can add and remove cards when needed.
Which merchants are participating?
You can currently use Apple Pay at more than 220,000 locations, and the list is growing every day. You can visit and other third party websites to review updated lists daily.
Is Apple Pay free?
Yes. Be aware that message and data rates may apply, depending on your data plan.
