Visa Fraud Alerts
Visa Fraud Alerts is a new, free service that allows Austin Telco Visa cardholders to be notified of suspected fraud activity via two way text message immediately. If you have an Austin Telco Visa card and have a valid cell phone number on file, you are automatically enrolled in Visa Fraud Alerts. Cardholders can receive and reply to text messages without incurring charges from their wireless carrier. This card protection service includes Austin Telco business and personal cardholders.
How It Works
Members will receive a text message that includes the transaction that caused a fraud case to be created. You will then need to respond to the text message with a 'Yes' if the transaction was authorized by you or a 'No' if the transaction was not authorized by you. If you respond with a 'No' you will receive a text message letting you know that a fraud specialist will call you. If no response is received from the member, a second text will be sent followed by a voice call to the cell phone number on file in an attempt to reach the member.
