My New Financial Advisor Experience

  1. Why is Austin Telco Federal Credit Union joining up with Ameriprise Financial?
    Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is excited to announce its new affiliation with Ameriprise Financial. This new relationship is founded upon our shared commitment of putting clients first.     We’re excited about the new enhancements to your current ATFCU Investment Services experience expected to go into effect by the end of the year.

  4. How can I stay informed about this new relationship?

    Update your email address.

    Over the next few months, you will continue to receive email communications with updates and any actions you may need to take. It’s important that we have the best email on record to keep you informed.

    To update or verify your email address, you can:

    • Log into Digital Banking and ensure your email is correct
    • Contact our Program Coordinator, Jaleah Heggs, at 512-302-5555 Ext. 7473 or by email at jaleah.heggs@ampf.com

  5. When will the new relationship with Ameriprise Financial take place?

    Your new Austin Telco Federal Credit Union experience is expected to take place in December 2025.

  6. What do I need to do to prepare for the conversion?

    There are a few things you can do to prepare for your new experience:

    • Contact your Program Coordinator with questions - they are the best resource
    • Check this FAQ page often
    • Look out for future email communications 

Support Services

  1. Who do I contact for additional support?
    • Your program coordinator remains the same before, during, and after this change; they are here to help you complete any transition actions and answer questions. 
    • You can also contact the Austin Telco Federal Credit Union customer service line at 512-302-5555.

Communications

  1. Who can I expect to send me account notifications and client mailings?
    • Leading up to the transition and after, you may receive communications from Austin Telco Federal Credit Union or your program coordinator or financial advisor.
    • You may also receive communications from Ameriprise Financial. Please take a moment to read through when you receive them.
  2. How will I receive my statement and what will it look like?
    • At the end of the month we transition to Ameriprise Financial, you’ll receive two statements at month-end from both LPL Financial and Ameriprise Financial.
    • You’ll receive a year-end statement from both LPL Financial and Ameriprise Financial.

My Accounts

  1. How and when will my assets transfer to Ameriprise Financial?
    • Your on-platform assets will transfer as you complete the forms with your financial advisor.
    • Please note: Any accounts held with an annuity carrier or mutual fund company direct typically take longer to process through a bulk broker-dealer change. Please reach out to your financial advisor if you have any questions on this.
  2. Will my account numbers change?

    Yes. While your account number will change, the structure of your relationship will remain the same. Your financial advisor will be able to help explain your new account numbering should you have any further questions.

  3. Will this impact any of my other accounts with Austin Telco Federal Credit Union?

    No, your other accounts, such as your banking or savings account, will not be impacted.

  4. What are the impacts to account instructions, such as ACH link to my bank account?

    Standing bank instructions will not automatically transfer to Ameriprise Financial. Starting after conversion, you can work with your financial advisor to sign required forms that allow us to authorize the instructions on file.

Client Secure Site

  1. How will I receive account notifications and client mailings?

    Leading up to the transition and after you may receive communications from Austin Telco Federal Credit Union and Ameriprise Financial via email or mail.


  2. How do I sign up for the client secure site?
    Ameriprise Financial will send you a packet that includes instructions to register for the secure site. Once registered, clients will be able to see their account information anytime, from anywhere.

  3. What is the Ameriprise Financial secure site?

    The secure site provides a consolidated view of a client’s Ameriprise Financial accounts and allows clients to track progress toward their goals, view their portfolio and securely collaborate with their financial advisor. It offers access to online trading, including convenient market data snapshots, expert research, quotes and company information.

  4. What safeguards are in place to keep client accounts safe and secure when using the secure site and mobile app?

    Ameriprise Financial is committed to clients and their privacy and applies multiple layers of security technology to protect both financial and personal information. Learn more in the Ameriprise Financial Online Security Guarantee.

  5. How do I download the Ameriprise Financial app?

    To download the free Ameriprise Financial app, go to the Apple App store or Google Play store and type in ‘Ameriprise Financial’. Click here to learn more.
