January 2026 - Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Kimberly Mayo as the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Payment Services.
Kimberly has over 25 years of experience within the credit union industry, having dedicated the last 12 years to combating fraud as the Manager of Account Fraud Services at University Federal Credit Union (UFCU). She was a founding member of the fraud team at UFCU, where she led and shaped departmental practices. Prior to her role on the fraud team, she specialized in payments processing and earned her credentials as an Accredited ACH Professional (AAP).
Kimberly holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and was recognized by Mitek on their 2025 “25 Women to Watch in Fraud Prevention” list. She is an active member of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI) and is certified in the Reid Technique of Interviewing and Interrogation.
Upon discussing her new position, Kimberly said, “I am honored to join Austin Telco Federal Credit Union and support the credit union mission of ‘People Helping People’. I’m excited about making payment experiences simple, secure, and convenient for our members while continuing to strengthen our community.”
